Founded in 1261 in the Perigord Noir, Villefranche-du-Perigord is a picturesque medieval bastide set around a handsome arcaded market hall and retains many beautiful medieval buildings dating back to the 16th century.
Stroll the narrow streets and arcades, enjoy panoramic views over the Lémance valley, and use the village as a convenient base to explore nearby Sarlat, Domme and the Dordogne's river châteaux.
